AUTUMN LADAKH 2025
Day 1: Leave arrival & full day rest for acclimatisation. Consider exploring places along the upper Indus like Spituk & Shey in the evening if everyone is okay.
Day 2: Exploration of places along the Upper Indus like Hemis Monastery, Stakna Monastery & deep into Hemis National Park till Shang which has to offer magnificent colours in October.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla. We can witness colours along the less visited places of Nubra Valley towards the Siachen base camp belt. Overnight stay at Sumoor.
Day 4: Sumoor to Galwan via Shayok while capturing mesmerizing colours along the Shayok route till the farthest point of Galwan Valley accessible for tourists. Overnight stay at Durbuk/Shayok.
Day 5: Head to explore Pangong Lake & overnight stay to capture the mesmerizing astrophotos.
Day 6: Leh to Sham Valley. We can visit the hidden Tar village which will require a 30 min walk. After exploring it fully, we can return back to the nearby village of Uleytokpo/Saspol/Alchi for an overnight stay.
Day 7: We will be exploring very few villages & monasteries in Sham Valley like Mangyu, Rizong, Yangthang, and Hemis Shukpachan & return back to Leh. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 8: Departure.

1 > What is the group size like?
7-9
2> Will we be camping at different locations every day or camp sites are limited to one or two or three?
Every day we will trek 8-9 km and our campsites will be different mostly at the vantage points.
3> What is the difficulty like
Moderate.
4> From Leh to Padum will we go thru Kargil or the other route? Is there any stay at Leh or will we start traveling on the same morning when after landing at Leh?
We will not spend nights on leh. We will leave directly from the airport, and take the new route from Sangam to reach Padum with 3-4hrs. If the road somehow stays close we will take the singe la route. We will acclimatize at Padum for 2 nights. If anyone wants to acclimatize at Leh they have to come one day prior.
5> Is this route along the Zanskar River?
Yes. From the Sangam point. Right now it stays open only on Wednesdays and Sundays. But by that time it will be fully functional.
6> Camping will be in tents right and what size is the tent-like.. mean how many persons per tent?
3men tent for every 2 people. We will have toilet tents and dining tents as well. These are necessary.
7> Sleeping bags will be required ?? If so Should we carry or it is a part of the package? Will be there any snow or ice??
A sleeping bag will be provided along with mattresses. We have one section of 2km where we will have to cross a glacier and all the ropes and ice axes will be provided.
8> What sort of trekking gear should one carry... like normal trekking shoes or snow shoes? or waterproof shoes etc? What will be the temp range?
For shoes, it has to be trekking shoes that are waterproof. Temperature will be 5-10°.
