AUTUMN LADAKH 2025

Day 1 – Arrival at Leh (Acclimatisation Day)

• Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh (3,500m).

• Transfer to hotel, rest and acclimatise (avoid exertion).

• Evening: Leisure walk at Leh Market & Shanti Stupa (sunset view).

• Overnight at Leh.

Day 2 – Leh Local Sightseeing

• Visit: Leh Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace, and Stok Palace Museum.

• Optional: Hall of Fame Museum (Indian Army museum).

• Overnight at Leh.

Day 3 – Leh → Lamayuru → Alchi / Uleytokpo (Sham Valley)

• Drive to Lamayuru (125 km, 4–5 hrs), famous for the “Moonland” landscapes and Lamayuru Monastery.

• En route stops:

• Magnetic Hill

• Confluence of Indus & Zanskar (Sangam Point)

• Gurudwara Pathar Sahib

• Evening at Alchi Monastery / Uleytokpo stay.

• Overnight near Lamayuru / Alchi.

Day 4 – Lamayuru/Alchi → Nubra Valley (via Khardung La)

• Drive back via Leh, then cross Khardung La (5,359m, one of the world’s highest motorable passes).

• Descend to Nubra Valley (Diskit/Hunder).

• Activities:

• Visit Diskit Monastery (Maitreya Buddha statue)

• Hunder Sand Dunes – Bactrian camel ride

• Overnight at Nubra (Hunder / Diskit).

Day 5 – Nubra Valley Exploration (Turtuk Option)

• Option 1: Excursion to Turtuk (last village near LOC, Baltistani culture, apricot orchards).

• Option 2 (if not Turtuk): Visit Panamik hot springs & explore local Nubra villages.

• Return to Hunder/Diskit.

• Overnight at Nubra.

Day 6 – Nubra → Pangong Lake (via Shyok Route)

• Scenic drive through the Shyok River valley (5–6 hrs).

• Arrive at Pangong Lake (4,350m) – world’s highest saltwater lake, changing colors.

• Evening: stroll by the lakeside, watch stars at night.

• Overnight at Pangong (camp/stay by the lake).

Day 7 – Pangong → Leh (via Chang La)

• sunrise at Pangong (must-watch).

• Drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass (5,360m).

• En route: Hemis Monastery (the largest in Ladakh).

• Evening free for last-minute shopping at Leh Market.

• Overnight at Leh.

Day 8 – Departure

• Transfer to Leh Airport for the flight back.
